Military organizations are extensive users of satellite technology. Compared with terrestrial solutions, satellite-based communications offer a wider coverage, greater power choices and more flexibility in terms of frequency. Whether ground-based or satellite-based, secure communications involve complex encryption algorithms are used requiring a separate digital signal process. High speed baseband A/Ds and Tx DACs along with associated high speed amplifiers are key elements. ADI offers several key modulation/demodulation devices for direct RF or baseband/IF modulation schemes.
