SAN JOSE, Calif._May 22, 2008 _MediaPhy Corporation, a fabless semiconductor company specialized in enabling global mobile TV applications, today announced the appointment of Mohammad Tafazzoli as vice president of operations. In his new role, Mr. Tafazzoli will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's manufacturing operations, logistics and related organizational growth plans as its unique mobile TV semiconductor technology moves into volume production.

Mohammad will build the operations and logistics capability to ensure that we can fully support our customersí volume requirements. 
 
In the fourth quarter of last year, MediaPhy introduced two products offering multi-standard, single-chip technology for mobile TV applications, the MP2011 Soloo for global TV applications and the J-Soloo, specifically targeting mobile TV applications in the Japanese market. The products have gained significant interest throughout Europe and Asia, and MediaPhy is currently in development with several leading mobile device manufacturers.

Mr. Tafazzoli brings over 20 years of experience in semiconductor operations, most recently serving as vice president of operations at Beceem Communications, a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions for the emerging WiMAX market. He has also held senior level operations, global manufacturing and quality control positions at Genesis Microchip, Paradise Electronics (prior to merger with Genesis), Cirrus Logic Inc and Signetics (a division of Philips). Mr. Tafazzoli holds a bachelorís degree in electrical engineering from San Jose State University.
